  • Jeff has spent the entirety of his career in the financial services space, beginning with 22 years as a commercial banker.
  • His various responsibilities have included leadership roles, business development, underwriting, and portfolio management.
  • Jeff is a Partner at Assurance and sits on the investment committee for both Assurance Mezzanine Fund III and Assurance Growth Partners.
  • Prior to joining Assurance, he was SVP for Texas-based American Momentum Bank (2013-2017), focused on growing the C&I and CRE portfolio.
  • Prior to American Momentum, he served as senior lender and then Director of Credit Administration & loan committee chair at Orlando-based Old Florida National Bank (2009-2013).
  • Prior to Old Florida, he was SVP at United Heritage Bank and its successor by acquisition, M&I Bank (2004-2009).
  • Prior to this, he was with SouthTrust Bank (1995-2004), where he began his career in the Management Training Program, then worked as a commercial credit analyst, and ultimately, C&I and CRE production roles.
  • Mr. Phillips received a bachelor’s degree in Economics from the University of Georgia.
